Engine swap

Has anyone done or seen or even heard of a swap for a 1986 Mazda 626 2 door? all help is appreciated!!!!

theres only one real swap, and thats for a engine called an FE3, its basically a dual over head cam version of the f2.

Im not totally sure what motor comes stock in teh 86 but i know for the 88-91 the motors are teh same and you can take the ford probe gt motor which is pretty much the same basic motor plus a turbo and few upgrades such as a stonger lower end, will drop in. Other then you have to run a few extra lines and what not. I know also if you can find a blown gt motor you can rip the turbo and its compents off of the motor and bolt them on to your motor althought its complicated due to extra oil lines that need ran. HAVE FUN.

you could go with the factory 2.0 turbo FE....the FE3N (twin cam) isnt quite as easy but i've seen it done....depends how much time&money you want to throw at it....
