I just bought a new exhaust and tip for my p11. do you recommend taking it to a chain store that specializes in mufflers (meineke, monroe, etc.) or a local shop for installation?... i want something cheap yet good quality.. is that an oxymoron?

You can go to either. It's just installation of a new muffler. Which ever one chooses to do it for the better price would be my choice.
