New platform, T5.

Volkswagen has released pictures of the forthcoming Eurovan/Multivan/Caravelle/Transporter.
The Volkswagen design shows better than ever, and I'm looking forward to driving one with the 174hp TDi engine. [Dahlback might have a few goodies for it ]
They are releasing it in Geneva in Mars, as a car not a van, yay

Certainly looks a lot better than the current one. Do you know if it will be released in North America? The van market is dwindling some, but I always thought the Volkswagen vans were far more practical and unique than your typical USDM minivan, although less powerful (a 174 hp TDi would be a contender though). The new design might boost sales.

Also, any info on engines besides the TDi?

Two gasoline engines: 2.0L 115hp, 170nm inline four, and a 3.2L 230hp, ~320nm V6 engine [R32 engine].
Three TDi engines: One is a new 2.5L 174hp, 400nm inline five, and I'm guessing the other two is the 1.9L, with 105hp, 240nm or 130hp, 310nm.

And I don't know if they will release it over there, I'll look into it.

That could provide a much needed boost...

I think a lot of people think it's a little too quirky or something, plus it's on the expensive side...

Looks Just like the current ones with the exception of the drivers side sliding door (a very nice option) I also hope that they make it to the NA market with the Diesel

It wont make it here to the states! There isnt enough market for a vw van in the us. THats why they scrapped the idea of the new microbus.
