I recently got into an accident and am looking at the positives of the situation. The drivers side front headlight corner got hit head on so i need a new headlight, bumper and hood. My hood is a CF Red so I will get quite a bit of money to replace that and the headlights are Black Housing. I have always wanted the JDM integra Type-R conversion, even when I had my old 96 Teg before it got totaled. I am going through insurance so I plan to get qhite a bit of money out of the deal.

I want to know if anyone has done or seen the JDM TYPE-R Conversion put on a 99 Civic and how much work is involved to fit the parts? I plan to get the fenders, hood, bumper and headlights. I want to know if the civic fenders are the same as the integra fenders or will I need to modify a lot to make the fenders work? Same question on the hood and headlights, is the front end basically the same so the hood will mount to the stock latch? What will I need to cut to put the Type R headlights in? Thanx for the help and hope you guys can help me.

you're gonna need to get a complete conversion kit which would include the fenders, hood, lights, bumper, AND CORE SUPPORT. The lights will not be easily mounted w/o that. that is gonna involve some welding. i believe you'll have to mate the ITR fenders and civic fenders so that it mounts up. Also you're probably gonna need the mounts for the hood. i think that sums it up. i may be wrong and it might be easier than i stated or harder. someone else will probably correct me so don't take my word as fact because i don't wanna be responsible if something happens......:D :D .....i personally think your car would look better with teh original civic parts but if you really want to do that, it's up to you....

Well I've been looking into this for a few days and tenzoracerevovii has everything right as far as what you would need. The only real hard part to this is the fenders. Like on the conversion I did a while ago, 98 front end onto a 94 civic.....the fenders were pretty close to match up. But the difference between a 6th gen civic and ITR fender is rather different. They both have body lines, but the ITR one is lower and would need to be smoothed out and moved up to match the civic one. And then you have the fender flare, and the lack there of. The civic has a fender flare and the ITR does not, so you would have to build one on the part of the ITR fender that you use. Take a look at this thread, it's basically the same thing except more work on the fenders doing the things I just said. http://139.81.142.25/vbulletin/t76147.html

dam i just saw the conv. that you did. VERY nice. you molded the fenders INCREDIBLY accurately. i think i've posted this somewhere before but i still need help on my car and it's SUCH AN EASIER CONV. THAN YOURS BUT IT'S PISSING ME OFF. i have a 97 civic and i have a 99 front end on it. the only thing is the bumper cover doesn't fit perfectly. any ideas what it might be? think maybe the bumper support thing is crooked or something? anyone think they can help? i guess i should make my own thread.......sorry MD99sir for taking away from your thread.
