This kit i been working on a little while while I wait for those replacement parts for the Calsonic. All that I need to do is paint the body and interior.
BTW everything held together by blutac or sticky tape, nothing is glued except the completed chassis.

Its been a month I think now. I had some spare time and did the paintwork and also the temp is 30 degreeC outside which is good since it heats up the room i paint in and i can let it bake in the sun for a few minutes. All i have to do is cut and polish and do the interior decals etc.

do you let it "bake" outside with the tires on??
maybe it was just the kit i had, but they seemed to not like the sun very well, cracking and shrinking after a while, and this was just leaving the car model on the window ledge for like a week

Thanks guys, Photos can deceive anyone. The paint surface still has a slight orange peel though.

I spent 2hours today sanding and compounding then polishing.
BTW I use Hasegawa Tritool series products. The Tamiya Compound left swily scratches everywhere.

That is damn shiny, just like a mirror.
The words on the manual can even be reflected on the car.
Impressive work

I don't suppose any of you guys in North America or Japan would do me a favour and get a copy of a 350Z brochure from a local Nissan dealer and send to me in the UK as they are not out here till late 2003, If so please PM direct, Thanks

Beautiful paint!!!!! I have one comment that you might want to think about. I own a 1:1 350Z and I noticed that the muffler is painted a ftat black. You might want to do that instead of the silver color. Other than that the car is beautiful.

The motorshow rocked this year! I wanna make the 350Z w/ nismo bodykit! Luckily i took lotsa photos for school. Though its gonna take lotsa putty work.
Awesome car. I cant wait to see more.
