sr-swap

Well I have had an 89' 240sx sitting at my house for a while now, but it looks like I am finally getting a sr20det. I am planning on doing the swap myself. Not that I have any worries, but I was wondering if any of you out there have done this swap before and if you had any tips for that might save time/money/headache. Hey please list any websites that might have helpful information. Also if anyone is interested I have a 93' 240sx SE for sale right now. Totally stock and well taken care of asking 4100obo.

Thanx

Yeah I have checked out that website before, and if the motor I am planning on getting falls through I will definitely check out getting a front clip from them. Thanks again

Re: sr-swap

hi everyone, im new in this thread, so don't let this name fool u, im a bid nissan fan, and i recently started to get into the 89 240sx, or otherwise known as the s13 180sx, but anyways.... Ive been doing some research and i found 2 engines which are easy swaps for the s13, the sr20det, and the rb20det, what is ur opinion in these 2, which is better and which has more aftermarket parts, thanks you.

Re: sr-swap

Yo Rps, where did you get that bumper and how much did it cost?????????? Looks like an RX7, Your ride is tight as a mother F*****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! don't like S13 too much an yours is the best so far, just needs fixed headlights like the 300ZX.
Do you have anymore pics, I would like to see the rear bumper you got on it. I've got an S14 so it might be pointless to wish to have that front end. I might buy an S13 just to put that on it, unless I can afford an RX7.

Re: sr-swap

make sure you hook up the flex capacitor otherwise you're going to be screwed but not allowing enough gigawatts of electricity to your motorcrank sensor. other than that it should bolt to the 12 nuts that are stock on the ka. after you do that just crimp the two wires in the front of the water pulley and a/c, and you're all set to go.
