Where do you get your 1/24 scale nitrous tanks ? The nitrous tanks in Kicker's Itr looks like something I'm reffering to.

You can usuallly steal Fire Extingushers from Racing car kits, or some pro street kits have Nitrous Oxide tanks in them.

I think tanks are easy to make out of Tamiya Quick Type epoxy putty. I made a real looking one, but it was too big for my model :(

I think my problem is solved. I live in Edison NJ. I think it's a few miles away. I guess i'll just go there and get a few of my own.

If you look on www.plastic-models.com they sell the kit too, it is 1/24 and is a Nitrous kit, if you do a search for Nitrous it should bring it up. It includes the fittings and mountings too.

Just look around for little tubes of various sizes, solder (soddering iron? i can't spell it) a piece of the plasic tubing that the model parts break off from, and use a radiator cap off an old hot-rod model as the nozzle. Paint it blue or purple and use cutouts of NOS or ZEX from import tuning mags. Use painted coper wiring (bends easiest) to run the tubing to the intake.

I recently made a twin bottle setup:-

The bottles are from narrow wooden dowling. Using wood enables you to file and sand the rounded shape at the end.
Before sanding, drill a small hole in the end, this will alow you to use the small bolts from a cheap pair of shades as the pipe and also the turny knob thing.
The piping leading from the bottles is made from gold paper clips and the straps from tin foil.
As for the label, I found a pic of the original on the net, reduced and printed it. This can then be 'pritsticked to the bottle or as I did onto a foil 'plate' on the assembly.
Hope this helps.

Holy crap! I can't believe I didn't think of using wooden dowling. Damn, you'd be able to get about 60 NOS bottles out of a yard of dowling. Even more if you use the mini-Nos bottles mounted inside the car (think Fast N the Furious RX-7).

UKSupraboy, what is the diameter of the dowling that you used?

I think it was around 4 or 5mm and make sure it is smooth not the ridged stuff.

Its short lengths of round wood. You usually see it inside joints in furniture especially the stuff you put together yourself.
Sometimes it has ridges all the way round going lenthways, dont use that. Find nice smooth stuff and all you need to do is cut to length and round one end to look like a bottle.
