Smile 95 Caprice Classic Engine Dies

Impala SS and Caprice Classic are same model. I thought maybe someone in these board may recognized this problem.

I own a 1995 Caprice Classic 4.3 L V8 Engine with 130,000 miles for two years with no problem.

The car start great and runs great.

However, recently, I am experiencing this kind of problem.
While the car is running, the engine will just dies with no apparent reason, it will start and runs with no problem but sometimes it will runs and dies several times and I have to wait for a few minutes to start it up again.

I notice that this happens only when the engine is at operating temperature.

Could the Ignition Module or Ignition Coil cause the engine to die?
Does anybody experienced this problem?
Nay help is greatly appreciated.

When the vehicle is acting up you would need to start testing systems otherwise you will just end up replacing parts.

when you get a crank but no start have someone help you determine the basics, while cranking do you have spark?, fuel?, check the injector with a noyd light see if it is getting power.

My 92 pickup with a 4.3 did the same thing a few years back and we traced it back to the fuel pump. The pump would get hot and shut down. Replaced it and no problems since. This is just one of many things it could be though.

You could be right about the fuel pump. I have replaced the original pump about two years ago with an aftermarket brand. I have so far replaced the ignition module, temperature sensor, oxygen sensors and the fuel filter and it still dies when it reached the operating temperature. I observed the engine before it dies that it will started to race up and down several times, choke up, hesitate and buck before it dies, and it may start but died right away and I have to let the engine cool for 1/2 or more before it will run again but then it will start the problem cycle again.
I will try to replace the pump but have to wait for good weather and have to run down the gas tank since it is still full. Thanks for your input, I appreciated it very much.
