2000 2.4L problem!!!

Last night while driving home my car suddenly would not drive and I coasted to the shoulder. Now the check engine light is on as well as the Trac Off light. The car will start and shift(automatic), but will not drive. The car revs when I press on the gas but it will not go. Any suggestions?

Re: 2000 2.4L problem!!!

How do you know it's shifting? If the engine rev's then it's working, so there's something going wrong between the engine and wheels.

Shift it through all the gears and see if it goes in any. I'd start looking at the transmission for the problem. Check your battery/alternator too.

Also, scan those check engine codes and post back.
