i decide to go to the local indoor oval carpet races tonight... i get there, setup, and start to go out for a test... my car has had an unknown glitch that i can't figure out... i took my tamiya TA-02, and i put 2.2" HPI wheels with foams on them, b/c last time i race, i blew out one of my rubber tires... anyways, here's how my night went...

Go out to test, car glitches in turn 3, hit the wall, and break the spindle where the tie rod connects. So i drill another hole in the spindle, and thread the tie rod back in... I pull the brushes out of my reedy sonic green, and one of my brushes had a chunk missing. So i swap the motor out for a Speed Gem 2 that i had lying around...

So first qualifying heat, car goes pretty good... still had a glitch, but i could control it by feathering the throttle... Finish the heat, and the glitch was pissin me off but in a 4 minute heat, i had 35 laps... which is fair for me... Had a BAADDD wreck... slammed ass end into the wall.

So second qualifying heat, car was runnin GOOD, but was getting kinda squirly, and not handling too great... Started makin a little grindin noise. I finish the heat with 33 laps.

Pull the car apart, yank the dogbones and axles out to clean all the carpet off of them and everything... i notice that wheni slammed ass end into the wall, i knocked half the screws in the ass end loose. So i tighten everything back up, and move on to the front end. I then notice that on the front right spindle, the lower screw had pushed out, leaving the front right wheel toe'd wrong. I also notice that the front right foam had a chunk missing out of it. So i clean out all of the carpet from my front dogbones & axles, and put it back together... Take it out for a test spin, and get a WICKED grind sound and now the glitch is worse!!! I go into the turns, get a wicked grind, and the ass end locks up, and spins the car around... So lets total up what i've screwed up tonight...

Possible ESC
Bent PropShaft
Possible Receiver
and banged the SH!T out of my GORGEOUS HPI Nissan Silvia body!

Time to throw the car up on the wall, and leave it for a while... :mad: :mad:

sounded like u had a rough night. i know what u mean, i've never competed on the pro level, but shit always breaks at the track :D

The car pissed me off, and i am moving over to gas trucks now, so i traded it for some car parts... Its new owner seems to be having fun with it though... And as long as it brings joy to somebody, thats all that matters... :)
