MY Service 4WD light came on. Replaced the switch - no change. Had the dealer run a diagnostic. Possible T.C. speed sensor, possible module, possible transfer case clutch pack. Any suggestions? The module is $171 on GMpartsdirect.com. The dealer quoted $1800 for a new transfer case!!! HELP!!!

On a vehicle that old replace transfer case total r/r.....Or buy another 4x4. If you are the original owner and replaced transfer case tracII fluid every 30,000mi I might consider taking the chance of changing componets. if you go this route I bet dealer will not warrantee this to work, more than a few months. must remove transfer case and inspect internals to determine if totally trashed................
