brown stained onto white paint

i took all the emblems off my 92 caprice and the old double stick left some brown stains, what should i use to got the brown out. i want to wax it as soon as i can

If it's original paint and not clearcoated, you should be able to polish quite a bit -- which may be necessary to get beyond the brown-stained surface.

But first, you might try a little Goo Gone or little paint thinner and see if either of those helps. Next try a pre-wax cleaner or polishing compound or scratch remover.

If those don't work, perhaps try posting a pic for us to look at.
