i have a v6 s-10 running kinda rough how can i tune it up the best possible way?

Year, 8th character in the VIN, is the SES light on, what has been done to the engine, and how many miles on it?

Well I bought it from someone, im pretty sure it's a 95, vin "W", 116k miles, it just has really bad idling sometimes and i know for a fact the spark plugs & wires haven't been changed in a long ass time, but what else could it possibly be to if fixing that isn't the answer?

At 100,000 miles these things are due, as far as tune up goes: A/C Delco platinum plugs, distributor cap, rotor, wires, oxygen sensors, fuel filter, air filter, PCV valve, and very importantly, check the fuel pressure. If there are still driveability issues, it will be easier to diagnose them knowing everything else is OK.
