looking for info on 2002 golf gti vr6

i am buying a 2002 golf gti vr6 and wanted some info on it. it has the 2.8l and says it has 30v with a 6spd tranny. i have never heard of a 3ov engine is it a volkswagen thing or is it a mis print. everything i see has 24v. anyway i was wanting to know how good this car is and if it is worth buying. it will be my firs volkswagen and first fwd car. any help is appreciated.

GTI VR6 never came with a 6-speed in U.S. (only early GLIs did). And if it is an '02, then it is 12v. Only Passats and Audis have 30v V6, VR6 is either 12v, or 24v.

the 02-04 gti came that came with vr6 had the 24v vr6 with 6spd manual.

there is no 30v vr6
