Accelerating Problem

Hello, I have a 1994 Jimmy 4x4 automatic with an accelerating problem. I start the truck up and it idles HIGH, as if I'm stepping on the gas. So I put the truck in gear and it just takes off without me pushing the gas! It gets up to 45 mph without me ever touching the gas pedal!

I've had it sitting for about 6 to 7 months now. I'm trying to sell it, so that's why it hasn't been driven. It was not doing this before I put it up for sale. Any help would be much appreciated!

When the ignition is turned off, the Idle Air Controller, (IAC) retracts to provide a fast idle on the next start up. Quite possible the shaft got stuck from sitting so long. Remove the IAC and clean the shaft. DO NOT spray cleaner directly into where the shaft goes into the IAC motor.

Where is the IAC located? And is it difficult to take off and clean? I am not familiar with these trucks...
