I'm in the middle of an engine swap from a 1987 (could be 1989 i forget) anyway it's all in and everything and i fired it up it started fine for a sec then smoke came from the wiring harnes by the comp. and shut down , now its not getting any spark , it melted a wire to the comp. when i hook that wire together again it dose the same thing, is there something im missing or forgot or what?i tryed using the the comp from the old car but it wont turn over with that one. PLEASE HELP:banghead::banghead:

Is this a 4 cylinder swap? What engine?

I need to know what wire melted. Any pics of it?

Not sure how you could even use the computer from the old one neither the 87 or 89 would have the same hookups as a 94!
