My 2000 Montero Sport keeps having both the battery & brake dash lights come on at the same time. They go on and off together frequently. I checked fuses and found nothing. Any suggestions?

It turned out to be my alternator. I was told it is not unusual for the brake warning light to come on along with the battery warning light when the alternator is not charging properly.
