Re: Bad Vibration

Misfiring, check your ECU for faults. Judging from your name it is a 95 GTi, is it a vr6?

Re: Bad Vibration

Well, motor mount will cause a loud clunking noise when throttle is pressed/depressed, another possible thing is a bad differential/spider gear, but you said that it does it even when the car is standing still which kind of eliminates that.
One by one take each spark plug wire out of the spark plugs, find a extra spark plug and insert it into each wire. Now you have to put this plugged in spark plug on the intake manifold (or any other "-"), and see if there is spark as you try to crank the car.
Or you could get one of those spark checking lights that you touch your ignition wires with.
I'd go from there.
