Post Compustar Alarm System Help

I have an 02 Mitsubishi lancer OZ rally edition. i have installed everything on my car for the alarm and everything works except for the remote start. for some reason i can't get it to autostart unless i am in the car when i activate it and push on the clutch. that's the only way it will autostart with the clutch depressed. I have hooked up my reference wire to the engine management hookup in my fuse box. i think that is the wrong place to go with it. Anybody got advice on what to do and how to make it work? Thanks

Re: Compustar Alarm System Help

You need to bypass the safety switch on the clutch.

Re: Compustar Alarm System Help

So i did bypass the alarm but i think i got the wrong wire.from my starter wire on the brain, it goes to a relay and then has two yellow wires and a purple and a red coming out. i connected one yellow wire but i don't think its right cuz now i can start my car without pushing on the clutch. but if i disconnect the relay, it won't start at all. so i am not sure if i wired it wrong or not. any suggestions? Thanks

Re: Compustar Alarm System Help

That relay you are talking about has 2 outputs. One is yellow which goes towards the starter. The other is yellow/black which goes towards the ignition switch.

Re: Compustar Alarm System Help

No, the yellow is your starter output. If you use that to go to the clutch, you'll smoke something. You'll use the black status output or even the 2nd starter output to go to the clutch.
