Post 02 Rodeo Speed Hesitation

Alright, im about to get this crap repossesed if something doesnt give, lol, I have a 2002 rodeo LSE, i am the 2nd owner and have had it for a little over a year now, my check engine light had come on about 4 months ago, due to $$ constraints i was hestitant to get it checked, since then i have had a obd checked and found misfires on cylinders, and a vacuum leak in some crap, and a mass flow intake sensor error. Starting about two weeks ago, my rodeo started this huge hesitation issue where it gets to 2nd gear and seems to be dying to get into the next gear... and sometimes between 1st and 2nd, went and had all new spark plugs replaced, same problem continued... Took it to a transmission shop, they gave me the run around, and tried to get everything but the engine fixed, IE tires, Wiper Blades, and so forth, but they told me there was something wrong with the MAF sensor, ok, no prob, went to napa, got the part installed it, same crap continues, so, the ? is how many other parts is chris going to have to buy before we get down to the main issue with this rodeo?

Re: 02 Rodeo Speed Hesitation

hey if the timing belt hasn't been messed with... having the wrong spark plug will cause random misfire and throw odd codes.. i had the same problem.. many many threads on which plugs you need.. the loss of power sounds the same as when my catylastic converters went out.. (or burnt up because of wrong plugs making the motor misfire and run to rich) i betting the plugs and converters are your problem.. hope not for you sake atleast the converters anyway..

Re: 02 Rodeo Speed Hesitation

It could be a bad intake manafold gasket (usually hesitates like crazy until the truck warms up), bad gas filter, air filter, fuel pump etc..
