air compressor problem

I have a 2003 F150 5.4L V8, and the AC compressor is making a clicking noise when the magnetic clutch is engaged and the compressor turning. Is the sound mean that my compressor is fixing to give out or what does that clicking noise mean.

Re: air compressor problem

Your compressor clutch is going bad. No need for a new compressor just the clutch. That will probebly cost about 250 to 350 dollers to replace then you should be good.
