89 s10 4.3l auto to a 2.8l standard

i have 2 s10s 1 is a 89 ext cab with a 4.3l that smokes bad
and a 91 reg cab with a 2.8l no title im going to swap the 4.3l and 2.8l into the ext cab engine trans pedals rear end is there anything i should know before i start this project?

Well it is up to you but I just put a 305 SB it. I got a 2.8 five speed it gets around good but when you put weight it the MPG goses to hell any how. I actually just got a 4.3 five speed so i can put in a 383 stroker this spring. but other than the petals and slave cyc, you shouldnt have much to worry about.
