Ok on my 1996 Chevy Tracker the check engine light is on and I know it is an 02 sensor causing the light. My question is if I plug an OBDII code reader into my car and reset the codes with it; when I take it to the shop to have it inspected will it pass inspection being that the light is off or will it say it is in drive cycle(does it even have a drive cycle because I guess only some cars have them). Is there any other way to fool the computer at the garage so I dont have to replace the 02 sensor because I simply dont have a lot of money.
