Re: No heat!

What year?
Auto or regular ac controls?

Re: No heat!

well i went out today, and check for power to the blower motor. I do indeed have power to the motor as well as a ground. When i turn my key on and have my heat turned on, it sounds as if i can hear the motor when i get up there under the hood but it won't go to any higher of a setting or come out inside the vehicle at all. Any ideas?

Re: No heat!

The blower should run at 3-4 speeds.
Can you hear it change speeds when you move the blower switch to low and high speeds?

Re: No heat!

No, it would only sound as if it was idleing and wouldnt rev up when i changed the setting to a higher speed. so i went and put a new relay in it, and it appeared to only work on high setting part of the time, so with some intense jiggling of the stupid connector that goes into the relay it works great on all settings now, but i'm sure soon my jiggle will mess up and it will quit working again. Any suggestions MT?

Re: No heat!

Sounds like you have a bad or dirty connector.
Clean and check the prongs and female wire connectors.
Make sure they are fitting tight and check for a broken wire at the plugin terminals.
Or even get a new or used plug in for it.

Good luck.

Re: No heat!

well as expected it quit working, here is what i have. I can go in and turn my switch on high then go wiggle around the relay harness and it will kick on and run, but if i adjust the setting at all inside the truck the heat stops blowing all togeather not even on high until i go out and repeat the process on high agian. My question is, i have heard people talk about vacum causing problems.. can this be my issue?

Re: No heat!

First thing is the blower motor quiting?
Blower is electrical.
Air and heating and AC ducts are vacuum controlled.

Re: No heat!

yeah the darn blower just looses its connection and sets back to low speed again and gives me no adjustment in blower speed. its pretty wierd because i can turn it on high, go wiggle the relay harness and it will kick on, when its in the right spot. But then if i go an turn it down, and then go to turn it back up, it won't turn back up!!

Broken wire or connections?
