torque converter clutch circuit

i recently had a 1994 buick lesabre check out and came back with a code PO740 which is the TCC circuit (torque converter clutch)
it has random misfire and a rough ilde when stop. is there a way to fix this or do i need to take it to a service station

First, you need to change the plugs & wires (AC-DELCO) and then have the code cleared to see it comes back. You will need to call several shops to ask if they have a scanner capable of reading the 94-95 LeSabre. If they act like they don't know what you are talking about, hang up and call another shop. Any good shop will know that the 94-95 has OBD1 ECU's with a 16 pin ALDL connector. It is an odd-ball OBD 1.5 system.
