plugs on a 2001 5.4

do you have to remove the fuel rail to do the plugs

Nope. There is enough room to remove the coils and plugs. Just take your time.

got it done ,i did remove the fuel rail ,made it easy job took 59 min. plugs were bad ,gap was about .70 a little big runs great... power door locks next they are real slow

Just yesterday did the plugs in my 03 f150 5.4,and I got to say it was hard.I didn't remove the rail,took about 2.5 hours,had some trouble with bolts on the coils.Needles to say next time its going to the garage.
