help on a basic tune up

hey all i just bought a 02 tb about 2 months ago and i do alot of driving basicaly 7500 in the 2 months. the mpg i figured would be low (10-12 mpg) seeing as i had a blazer prior but better than it. ive decided to do a spark plug change since im hitting 71000 soon. whats your thought on a good spark plug? ive heard the ac's are the best way to go. also how exactly do you clean a throttle body, i got the can of cleaner but i dont want to mess up anything ( first time attempting this). also what about a k&n filter? and what other sensors are worth cleaning...sorry i just dumped everything here, this is my 3rd truck since the other ones i always seem to miss something i should have cleaned or fixed and bam trucks dead haha so im trying to be on top of this truck since its probly one of the best trucks ive owned.

yours helps very much appreciated --brian

Re: help on a basic tune up

10-12, wow no matter how and when I drive it is never that bad. Stay with AC Plats or Iridium plugs, look at the AF, replace the fuel filter, get CRC TB cleaner, you will have to manually hold the throttle open on the drive by wire system, use a small maybe toothbrush to get in around the throttle bore and plate, it may start hard after this. I don't really believe in the K and N systems, may be some small step up at very high rpm's, many opinions on this CAI.
