95 Blazer Check Gauges Light on

I have a 95 Blazer, and the fuel gauge is maxed out passed the full mark, and the check guages light is on, i have only a half a tank of gas at the most? also the blazer wont start, it turns over, but is not gettin gas, any ideas on what is going on?

You might check your Fuel Pump fuse.

The fuel gauge indicating past full indicates an open circuit. The fuel pump uses the same ground. Follow the harness, specifically the black wires, from the fuel pump module on top of the fuel tank to ground. Make sure the connections are clean and tight. Also check the connector at the pump module, they have a bad habit of melting.
