No Power

Today while driving she lost almost all power, about 45mph was all she would do. It all happened in a mile or so, and then didnt get any worse. Im sure the gas and air filter are good, new just a week or so ago. Its the same gas ive been using since ive had her, never any problem with that. There is no check engine light. Im at a total lost. Any ideas or suggestions? Andrea

Re: No Power

Rough idle? Thinking coil pack here, but it would get better with more throttle.

Clogged cat?

Re: No Power

The idal seems to wonder up and down now, but its smooth not missing, kinda like you were giving it a little gas and then not. I was hoping for a Check engine light but so far none. Andie

Re: No Power

OK, Ive found my problem. Some critter had built his winter home in my air filter box. I believe there was well over a gallon of assorted stuff in it. After cleaning and new filter it runs fine and no light. Im just glad it wasnt a family with babies in there.

Now how to keep them out? Thanks Andie
