I have purchased this off of Ebay and am wondering about the following.

1) What about the Hardtop Convertible? Does anyone have any opinions of this? It has a new motor for the convertible top but, every once in awhile it needs a little nudge.
2) My research seems to indicate that these are fairly reliable cars. This one has 91,000 miles and appears to be fairly well taken car of. Any opinions here what to look for and what might need fixing now or soon?
3) Air Conditioning does not work. Was told that the conpressor and fan seems to work fine. Owner says that he believes there is a leak. Any other ideas.
4) What years did this style exist?

By the way, it is an automatic if that makes a difference.

Many forums support the BMW cars. Also I would recomend joining your local BMWCCA and learn from the other members. Sounds like yours needs some TLC but over all I have had great service from my car. bimmerforums is one of many that I read on a regular basis.
Check over the cooling system, replace as needed.
I am in OKC and we have a strong dealer and several good independent shops also. Also several great BMW car clubs.
