ECU questionjdm_power 10-24-2007, 09:17 PM i have h22a and i just put a ls vtec ecu (h22 ecu doesnt work, dont buy from osaka) is it bad to drive the car with the ls vtec ecu ? is vtec supose to kick with the wrong ecu ? VictorPerez 10-25-2007, 04:07 AM yes doesnt matter what ECU u use as long as its a VTEC but with out the right one it will run like crap Greenblurr93 10-25-2007, 08:07 AM it does matter.... the fuel maps will be WAY off and the timing maps as well... your risking melting a piston if you run that ecu.... not to mention i think the H22 had secondary butterflies and the ECU youre using (Im assuming its either a P28 or P72) might not have the board built in for it, so they wont work. (Unless its a P72, then they'll work) CivicSpoon 10-25-2007, 12:02 PM H22A peak & hold injectors on a saturated compatible ecu :thumbsdow Greenblurr93 10-25-2007, 12:30 PM Ah.. i knew i was missing something... basically NO ITS NOT OK to use that ecu with your motor jdm_power 10-25-2007, 03:30 PM so its not ok to run my car with that ecu ? we just replaced the vtec pressure sensor and the car runs good, vtec kicks, but u guys are saying its not good to run it with that ecu? , even for a couple of dayz till i switch it to p13 ecu? Greenblurr93 10-25-2007, 03:34 PM you can do some serious damage without even knowing it..... so use it at your own risk Automotive Network, Inc., Copyright ©2012
