94 s-10 4x4 4L60E trans problem

The 1st gear has started slipping on take off, hesitates to shift to second, but, then drops into other gears and runs down the road. Changed fluid and filter, still have problem. No codes, put it on an analyzer that reads various systems and discovered that no signal is being sent to the trans, it should say on when egaged in drive but says off, tcc applied should display Yes, tcc lock up shoudl say On and tcc solenoid should say On, they all say the opposite. It is as if nothing is being sent, but no codes, I even made a code happen to check the system, got that code.
Any thoughts?, how the "electronic" trans work with no signals?
thanks
Mike

Welcome to AF.
If it did not have a signal it would not shift?
Can you feel lockup clutch working?
Some scanners even snap on read off when on and on when off.
Is the scannner showing and sliping?
Is it showing the 1-2 solenoid and 3-4 solenoid working?
Is pressure solenoid working?

Re: 94 s-10 4x4 4L60E trans problem

Thanks for the quick response and the welcome! I can hear the clutch engage, but the rpms have to be increased, more than normal, to get the rig to move, then the hesitation when shifting to 2nd. My analyzer permits some recording when driving so tomorrow I am going to take the rig for a drive and see what I record. I wondered about the opposite reading but either way the readings for the various trans functions, except speed and temp, don't change whether stopped in park or moving up and down the drive. I was thinking maybe the control body could be partially plugged or worn, the rig has 130K on it.
