03 heater fan switch

my matrix 03 have a problem with the fan switch it only runs on the 3 rd and 4 th speed.the first 2 positions dont work is it the switch or the motor thanks

Probably the heater relay.

Where? Should be by the blower. You'll have to look a bit or get a shop manual, I've never pulled one on this model.

Expense is a matter of personal perception. You'll have to price one out as I've never done one of these but heater relays in general aren't IMO.

blower motor resistor not expensive should be located on or near blower
motor good luck
