okay i got this wild idea i have a 92 hatch and an 88 honda prelude motor how much do i have 2 do like the wireing part yes i now i need the ecu but like what else is needed and if any one nose if any tranny beside that year of tranny for that year of that car because when i had it the tranny went out i went thourgh 5 trannys so any ideas would be great thanks

That would be a lost cause. You'd have to totally rewire the engine and the ecu, especially seeing as how you'd be going from OBD1 to OBD0. Fabricate custom mounts to get the engine in. No other B-series transmissions will bolt up to it, so I have no clue if anything else would work. The stock transmission is cable, but the car is set up for hydraulic; that would create even more of a problem for the transmission mount. Basically it would be a complete waste of the time or $.

what about a b18 or something what i am trying 2 do is find a dohc motor that well go in my civic because i am only sohc v tech so if any one has any info please help me thanks

the B20A5 swap has been done in 4th gen civic's alot... its' not that hard in a 4th gen either.. but for the same HP, and no money on modding at all, you could just have bolted in a D16A1 or ZC engine.. both the B20A5 and the D16A1 share quite a few traits tho... like they're both bastard engines, meaning that whatever you have on them, will not fit on other engines w/o mods.
