Air Level Controljay800 10-03-2007, 01:10 PM My 'Air Level Controller' fuse blows within minutes of replacing. When I replace the fuse(under the back seat) the compressor does not come on, although the fuse heats up and blows? Any ideas? I am going to replace the air shocks, but wondering about the leveler as well - strange behaviour... thx. 93pb 10-03-2007, 07:08 PM The shocks themselves would not be the reason for a blown fuse. A fuse will only blow if there is an over amperage condition or a short. I would look at the compressor itself which is in the rear of the car. If the compressor tests out fine look for a shorted wire or sensor. Marc jay800 10-04-2007, 09:36 AM Thanks for the reply, I'll get under there with a tester. Is the compressor easy to get to? thx. 93pb 10-04-2007, 07:32 PM What year do you have? My 2002 is under the rear quarter and accessible. jay800 10-05-2007, 10:38 AM Mine is a 99. I have heard that it is quite accessable. I see that there are air leveler kits that have the controller in the cab - that seems cool, being able to lower/rise the rear with a button. thx.
