1997 coolant drain and fill step by step instructions

Hey, im attempting to drain and fill my coolant for the first time and want to make sure i get it right, can someone give me step by step instructions on what to do, to do it right. I dont have a radiator cap, and all the sites on the net assume you do, so i dont really want to follow them. Also the petcock is plastic, and ive never drained before, someone said they are easy to break, and tips on how to not break it or anything...thanks!
