325i Will Not Stay Running

Ok,
I have a 1984 325I That will start and run for 10 15 sec and die.......It has fuel spark And Compression. But will ust not stay running. The car did sit for over like 3 years before we got it...Checked coil when we first got it and it was bad and the timing was off now we have it to where it at lest starts but it will just not run longer then the 10-15 sec.....It does seem to have a better cance of it starting for the 10-15sec when it is the first time trying to start it for that day or after it has sat for a while

Thanks In Advance.

It might be a misfire in the cylinders... need a little but more on the details.
