viper alarm

hey! ive got a viper alarm with the remote start onit. my car is an A4...anybody have a remote start on their car and can tell me what they did to get it to work? I'm not sure if i will be able to, because of my VATS. If anybody did get it to work, can they tell me how they did, or if most alarm installers are knowledgeable enough to know about it
