Kinda scary. I just had an lube oil and filter change done on my 89' Camry 4 cylinder and while driving to work the "engine check light" came on for about 5 minutes and mysteriously dissapeared. I check under the hood and found really nothing so am I making a big deal outta nothing????:screwy: :banghead:

Probably just coincidental. If the oil level is OK and no sensor wiring seems to be disturbed it may be something as simple as an O2 sensor getting ready to quit. If it runs OK and the light is out I wouldn't worry about it.

Wouldn't hurt to check for codes. It may or may not give you a clue.

Hi you all,
Thanks for the swift postings. Tomorrow I'll try it again and see what happens when I head for work in the morning. If it's an 02 sensor I'll just wait and talk to the dealership about it at the next oil service. Other things/issue more important to deal with at that time also. It sure runs fine with fresh oil though!! Mobil 1 is fantastic dispite the bad posting about it.
