88 VW Fox...help please

Hi, i own a 88 fox that has been idle for 7 years!
i've had it in the garage, outside on and off since 1995.
my question is, do i need to check anything if its only been idle for 7 years?
or do i need to run tests on it, change gas tank, fuel pumps, radiator, water pump, thermostat etc...?
Please help, what do i need to check on it? or what are the first things i need to change?
i want the car cause it only has 25K miles on it, i know the motor is in superb condition.

any help would be appreciated.

thx, tek

Change all liquid fluids, and the sparkplugs just to be sure.

You could, but checking the gas filter is probably enough.
Yous make sure you get all the water out of the tank.
