after i put on new timing chain

ok igot the timing chain on and the marks on the cogs are lined up correctly.put it all back together and started it right up. but it is missing like hell. my question is could it have jumped time that soon. neighbor said ccould be a fouled plug , so i pulled 1 out and it was all gummed up. so i am gonna change all 6 . jhow do i get to the ones in back, 3.1 6 cylinder chevy lumina

Unbolt the dogbones that connect the engine to the radiator yoke, and use a comealong or ratchet strap to pull the motor forward...

You can also rock it in park, the motor will pitch back and forth with the bones out...when you get it to roll forward far enough, jam the parking brake and it'll freeze in that position...block the wheels because if it moves, the motor's coming down...I do it just like that but it would be smart to brace it with something...

Don't forget and try to drive it with the bones out...you'll flip the motor into the radiator...

ok new plugs and all back together and the damn thing wont idle, as long as i am giving it gas she will idle , i put in gear and it dies.

Rock the engine? I just reach back there and change them. They are a little tough to see without a mirror, but if you sneak a peek by leaning over the right side and looking down the rear you can see the plug ends well enough to get the socket on.
