What does your oil pressure run at?

I'm just curious to see what everyone's oil pressure gauge says. My '99 s10 2.2L 2wd runs up around 70. Eventually it will drop but really not until a good 20 miles into the trip. At idle it will go down to around 45. I just thought that that was rather high oil pressure. Anyone else??

The electric gauge is just a indicator gauge.
I would put a manual test gauge on it and check real pressure.
If it is OK replace the oil pressure sending unit and see if it works right.

the factory spec is somewhere around 30+ above 3000rpm or something like that. mine does the same thing bowtie...but as long as it has some pressure, i don't worry to omuch about it.
