Replacing brake rotors on a '00 K2500rusted and busted 09-17-2007, 02:56 PM I have a 2000 Silverado K-2500 (old body style) and need to replace the brake rotors. How is it done? Does the hub/bearing assembly have to be removed also? Any tricks or special tools???? Any help would be appreciated. taillight 09-18-2007, 08:53 AM The rotors come off the hubs. They might be rusted on but they come off. 777stickman 09-18-2007, 11:08 AM On my '98 Sub K2500 (GVW 8600 lbs) the hubs and rotors are a one piece unit. Along with the spindle nut there are 4 bolts in the backing plate.
