Cool 97 Grand Am 2.4L won't start

I backed the car out of the garage and parked in the driveway and now it just clicks. The first couple times I tried to start the car it cranked a little bit and then clicked. Now it is just a fast click. Battery and starter test OK. Over the last few weeks random lights have been coming on in the instrument panel...battery, check enigne, abs.
Any suggestions for what I may need to check next?

Test for spark and fuel. Pull a plug wire and put an old spark plug in the wire. Crank the engine and look for spark. Put a fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail and test the pressure.

NO SPARK. This engine has a coil that connects directly to the spark plugs with boots. Can the coil and ignition module be tested?
I check the connector for the module with a test light and had power to 3 of the pins. Not sure how many should have juice but I think there were 7 pins total in the plug.

I'm really starting to not like this car.

Yes the module can be tested. Do you have one coil for each plug bolted on top of each plug or do you have one coil pack connected to all plugs.

Re: 97 Grand Am 2.4L won't start

Actually thier 2 coil packs, one controls cyl 1-2, 3-4.

Btw taillight the 2.4 does not have a shradder valve to check fuel pressure. They need a adapter hose with a guage built in.

I'd say its the ICM, but could be the coils.
