I cant seem to read my check engine light.

I see a 2pin plug under the dash and i see the test clip by the fusebox under the hood.

I tryed to read it with a multimeter and a 12v test light by connecting to the positive battery lead and the ground clip.

Does any1 know how to read the check engine on a 93 ranger 4.0

You need a analog voltmeter(needle) and a wiring diagram. Maybe better to go to a parts store and have them read it for free. Most places will do that.

have you tried autozone to get the codes read? They might have the correct plug to read it.
