Hi there,
I am working as a press photographer this weekend at the Silverstone Le Mans Series event.
I have been out trackside most of this morning but happened to spot this as I wondered through the pits.
So Barazi's is #046 not #049? If so that'll mean alot of file moving in my F1 folder! ;) Are you at Silverstone too this weekend?

We can also dig back through this history on this forum and stone the individual who provided that chassis number. ;)
Thanks LeMan - I was never 100% confident that we had the right number on that car. One piece of bad information can go a long way to screwing up the overall picture so it is wonderful to have this corrected.
Did you take these photos yourself or was it a "Phone a Friend" situation?
EDIT: The original 'rush to judgement' on the chassis number occurred in this old thread:
"So we're speculating this is #049 huh? Well what if my speculation that Beal's car is not #042 proves to be true? Then it could be a base silver car. It never ends when you speculate about one car and then use that info as a basis of fact for another. :headshake "
Interestingly, at the time chassis numbers were narrowed down based on the original registration of "N884 PWV". You can see the discussion was focused only on silver F1s though. Chassis #046 wasn't even included as a possibility because it's originally listed as having been painted "Genesis Blue Metallic".
I will add that it's a shame that another blue F1 was repainted, of all colors, silver... :disappoin
Not my pics Erik, thank my brother Derek for these pics. I am to busy with work this weekend, no time to play :nono: Will post a few more of his pics later.

Patrick,
#046 was parked today, in the competitors car park that runs parallel to the rear of the main paddock.

ok.
Well if you spot me tomorrow say hello. I'm wearing a poloshirt with the number 86 on the back.
The weather should be fine. about 20 degrees I searched on Google weathersites
Hey Greg - I just noticed you hosted the smaller versions of these pics. Do you have the originals that were posted? They are 1280x960 resolution. If not, and you want them, I can arrange to share them again for you or anyone else.
Also realized I forgot to say thanks to Tim for the additional shots he shared. I promise I'll leave your watermark intact from now on. :)

Thanks for the info Erik,
So thats what happened to the Genesis blue car, I have been waiting for pics of this chassis to appear for some time now :banghead: (never to be seen again!!). Derek said the interior looked outstanding for an F1, But not with a silver exterior, a nice shade of blue was his suggestion :uhoh:
Some more of his pics. (Passed thanks on to Derek, If 046 is there tomorrow, he will take some more pics)
I will not be going tomorrow Patrick, Shame as it would have been great to meet up. Some other time maybe  Enjoy your day.
Also thanks to Tim for posting his superb pics
Thats one good thing about the internet. If you miss an event, others can make up for this, by posting an array of pics that take in atmosphere of the day.

I have never had an issue with that website other than it being somewhat slow. There are 47 images in total, all roughly 500kb in size, so the final .zip file ended up in the 26MB range.
Enjoy!

Erik > I must understand that N884 and MAC IP are the same car ?

Yes Phil - that is correct. :) Remember though, as we have been corrected several times, it is actually 'MAC 1P'
