Well, first i thought it was my coil pack. So i replaced that and still no spark.
Then i noticed that my fuel pump wasn't engaging. I replaced that. Thats working fine now, but i'm not getting any fuel to the engine. I'm replacing the fuel filter tomorrow. But at the moment I still have no spark. Can someone shed some light on this problem??

I would check the pickup in the distributor as it has to pulse the coil pack.

i changed the distributor cap today, along with the rotor. and it started up.
i let it run for about five minutes and then i shut it off to change the oil. after i was done, i tried to start it back up but it wouldn't start. it still won't and i'm out of ideas

You have a module and a pickup in the distributor which replaces the points.
Autozone or Advance will check these modules for free. You have to remove it and take it into the store. If the module is good buy a pickup.

i just went to autozone and picked up an ignition module. i'm trying to throw it on right now but i'm running in to a bit of trouble. nothing a blow torch can't fix..,
