A/C trouble

Hi I have an 04 2wd silvy with the 5.3 auto and around 66000 miles. My problem is sometimes when Im driving down the road the a/c stops blowing cold and blows hot air just like the heater is on. If you turn the truck off and start it back up again it works fine. It has done this a total of 3 times now and i cant figure it out. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks Jay

Re: A/C trouble

You could have something disconnecting in the A/C system or you could be low on freon. Test the A/C system with a set of guages.

Re: A/C trouble

It could also be one of the 3 electronic flaps (for lack of a better word) that control the vents getting stuck open...had this problem with mine...replaced one of them and the problem went away
