Post 1996 3.1 surging issue

My 1996 3.1 Corsica surges after engine has warmed up and it seems to be at higher RPMS if sitting still and feeding it gas, or when driving it on the road. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be. I have replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter and now have no idea. Any help appreciated. I was getting a Vac. CAnnister code, but unhooked it, code is gone, but surging still exists.

1. Look for a vacuum leak.
2. Clean or replace the EGR.
3. Watch MAF, O2 and short and long term fuel trim on a scan tool.

Also check the IAC valve in the throttle body. They get mucked up with carbon and can stick, causing surging at idle/part throttle.
