A smell like ketcup, after driving car for short distance

I recently just got a 2002 trailblazer 4wd. I have been noticing a weird smell when I step out of my car. I usually drive the car for about 15 miles, put it in park, open the door, and then I can smell the odor. It is not a gas smell at all. There are no leaks, by looking at the driveway. I tried to find where the smell was coming from, but I couldn't find it. It seems I can only smell it the second I step out of the car. Anyone have any ideas? I am a broke college student who really can't afford to try a million things before the problem is solved. OH, and the check engine light has not came on.

Antifreeze can have a sweet smell. Make sure nothing has melted to exh system (plastic bag).
